Three pools with different jobs
| Points | Main role | Supply |
|---|---|---|
| Free construction points | Help with early construction in place of some carpentry costs | Replenish gradually |
| Carpentry points | Wooden construction and ongoing maintenance needs | Carpenters’ Guild supplied with logs |
| Masonry points | Stone construction as development advances | Masons’ Guild supplied with stone |
Free points are shown with regular construction points in the top-right bar. They are useful for starting development, but a large free balance does not mean maintenance is funded.
Free points after construction starts
The October changes allow free points to be used after a building has already started construction, rather than only at placement. This does not change their maintenance restriction.
If you cannot cover upkeep
Free construction points cannot maintain buildings. Check your carpentry-point production and the supply of logs to your guilds.
Improve the guild’s supply and efficiency with suitable supply recipes, or build another guild if more production is needed. For a masonry-point bottleneck, also check the Masons’ Guild’s stone input and the route that brings it.
Read the right balance
The top bar is the quick overview; the region’s balance view provides a fuller breakdown. Production rates are not the same as stored points. Avoid using a rate from an older Demo as a guaranteed current replenishment speed.
If a guild’s input is missing, use the trade guide. If production has stopped despite apparent surplus, check storage and production readings.
