What does 2x actually double?
It doubles the Traditional Product bonus. A basic +2% × 2 = +4% bonus is not the same as producing twice as much overall.
Treat this as an explanation of that bonus only. It is not a formula for every efficiency modifier on a building.
Population share changes the multiplier
| Culture’s population share in a region | Multiplier shown in the Demo |
|---|---|
| At least 0% | 1x |
| At least 50% | 1.5x |
| At least 75% | 2x |
The interface labels the top band ≥75%. The strength of a culture’s bonuses depends on its population share in each region; a county-wide total is not a substitute for that regional share.
Use trait synergies
The larger gains come from matching Traditional Products to a culture’s traits and compatible product pairs. From Land to Home with Logs + Toys is a developer-provided 20% synergy example, not a universal bonus or a best-pair recommendation for every culture.
Before choosing a product, compare Bonus and Trait synergies in the selection window. A product with a larger displayed value may fit a particular trait that another culture does not have.
Choose products, not recipes
A trait’s product requirement is not automatically satisfied by every recipe that uses that product. Keep the exact product separate from the food recipe or other output you are looking at.
